HOMEDEC CONTEST – SHOP BIG WIN BIG!
(KUALA LUMPUR EDITION)
TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. By registering or taking part in the HOMEDEC CONTEST – “SHOP BIG WIN BIG!” herein (the “Contest”), all persons participating herein (the “participants”) agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as listed below;
    1. CONTEST PERIOD
      • The Contest period for the HOMEDEC Kuala Lumpur April Edition will run from 28 April – 1 May 2023 from 10am to 8pm
      • All participation or entries received after the date and time stated shall not be entertained and will be deemed invalid and immediately disqualified
      • The Organiser reserves the right to shorten or extend Contest period without prior notice
      • The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, delay or amend the Contest Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice
      • The Organiser is not and shall not be held responsible for any technical malfunction in connection with the Contest
      • All decisions from the Organiser on all matters relating to the Contest is final and no further correspondence will be entertained
    2. CONTEST PARTICIPATION & ELIGIBILITY
      • The Contest is open to all Malaysian residents aged 18 years old and above at the time of Contest
      • Employees of The Organiser and its Affiliates, Sponsors, Agencies, Contractors, Suppliers, Exhibitors and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate
      • All participants are required to present a proof of purchase to qualify for the Contest. Each proof of purchase presented by the Participant will only be recognised as one (1) registered participant
      • A minimum spending of RM200 is required to be eligible for the contest, and each receipt will count as one (1) entry. Quotation cost estimate amounts are not qualified. Regardless of the amount spent on each receipt (minimum RM200) will count as one (1) entry. For example, RM200 spent in a single receipt equals one (1) entry, RM399.99 equals one (1) entry, and RM2,000 in a single receipt equals one (1) entry.
      • The cut-off time for HOMEDEC Contest – “SHOP BIG WIN BIG!” submission is at:

        HOMEDEC Kuala Lumpur April Edition 8:00 pm daily
      • All Contest registration must be submitted on the day of purchase and each Participant must follow the required steps in order to qualify and be in the running for the winning:
        • The Participant must submit their proof of purchase for verification at the Contest Counter and LIKE the HOMEDEC Facebook Page
        • Once the information is verified by the HOMEDEC Crew, the Participant will receive a “VIRTUAL TICKET” via the HOMEDEC Registration Profile Page
        • During which, the Participant must answer the questions displayed correctly in order to validate their “VIRTUAL TICKET”
        • Winners will be announced on the HOMEDEC Facebook Page. During which, the qualified winners are required to send a private message on the HOMEDEC Facebook Page to arrange for the collection by 12pm on the following day. An attempt will also be made by the Organiser to contact the winner to arrange for the prizes for redemption
        • Failing which, where the Participant does not reply and/or cannot be contacted, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify their winnings and forfeit their prizes and as such, the uncollected prizes will be rolled over to the next day for the next qualifying winner
      • The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify Participants and/or revoke the prize at any stage of the Contest if:-
        • There are any discrepancies in the Participants’ eligibility or does not meet any of the participation criteria
        • The Participant breaches the Terms & Conditions or other rules & regulations of the Contest
        • At the Organiser’s sole discretion, it believes that the Participants have attempted to undermine the operation of the Contest by fraud, cheating or deception
        • Whilst the Organiser will endeavour to conduct necessary verifications on the eligibility of each Participant, failure to disqualify any ineligible Participant shall not be deemed a breach by the Organiser
      • Prize won is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The Winner is responsible for collecting the prizes in-person from the sponsor if required
      • The Winner is required to bring along the winning “VIRTUAL TICKET” and NRIC or Passport upon prize redemption
      • The Winner shall comply with the Terms and Conditions of the given prize set by the Sponsor
      • The Winner must claim the prize within the stipulated deadline stated in the winning voucher, failing which, the Organiser and Sponsor reserves the right to forfeit the prizes
      • The Cash Prizes will be credited into the respective daily winners’ account within fourteen (14) Business/Working days after receiving of the complete documents as per request to the Winner
    3. HOMEDEC’s 20th Anniversary Star Prize
      • The HOMEDEC 20th Anniversary Star Prize is part of the Contest and rewards only one (1) lucky winner throughout the contest period a home makeover package worth RM60,000 (Ringgit Malaysia: Sixty Thousand Only) sponsored by HOMEDEC and Signature Distribution Sdn Bhd herein (“Signature”)
      • Prize redemption is only applicable at the appointed Signature outlet stated within the winner letter that would be provided and within the mentioned stipulated timeline
      • The prize is for a one (1) lump sum redemption, applicable only for one (1) unit of residential property (landed or apartment/condo) in a single transaction. Proof of residency may be required to claim the prize and it is at the discretion of the Organiser
      • Products/services are redeemable based on the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) and is strictly not exchangeable for cash
      • The Prize is inclusive of design consultation fees and customised built-in furniture, cabinetry and carpentry work only. Others such as sourcing of loose/purchasing of items, furniture and fittings are not covered in this package entitlement
      • Prize is for one time delivery to one destination within Klang Valley only. Delivery outside of Klang Valley is subjected to transportation cost and shall be borne by the Winner
      • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be resold to any third party and can only be used as specified. However, the Winner is allowed to nominate only their immediate family member(s) should their property is deemed unsuitable for installation. The Prize is transferable upon receiving a letter of consent and nomination from the Winner. Nomination and transfer details of the Winner and the immediate family member(s) must be clearly indicated
      • The Winner’s name as per NRIC and a photocopy of front and back NRIC is required for audit purposes
      • It is entirely the winner and Signature’s responsibility to arrange, discuss and to agree upon on the designs and materials specified for redemption of the RM60,000.00 package value. The Organiser shall not be held responsible and/or liable nor shall it accept any form of liability arising or suffered resulting directly or indirectly or any disputes that may arise between the said two parties
      • This Prize is valid for three (3) months starting from 2 May 2023 and expires on 1 August 2023. The prize must be redeemed before the expiry date and any request for extension is not allowed. Winner is advised to confirm all costs and materials for their renovation projects to Signature within a timeframe by Signature.
      • Renovation start work order must be within a reasonable timeframe, preferably within a 6 months period.
      • Should there be any further renegotiations needed, it is entirely up to both Winner and Signature to amicably discuss and both parties must agree upon
      • Any “Purchase with Purchase” scheme and/or other promotions on-going by Signature is not applicable for this prize redemption.
      • In the event of the home makeover costs exceeds the RM60,000 value package, the additional cost shall be borne by the Winner. However, should the total cost specified does not reach the RM60,000 value, then the entire unutilised amount will be forfeited
      • Any violation of the above terms shall deem the prize to be null and void
      • The Organiser reserves in its sole discretion to substitute the Prizes or any component of the Prizes should the selected Winner(s) fail to comply with any of the rules and/or applicable laws for any reason whatsoever
      • The Organiser reserves the right to withdraw the Prize should the selected Winner fail to comply with any terms or conditions herein set
    4. General
      • The decisions of The Organiser on all matters relating to the Contest are final, conclusive and binding. The Organiser shall not be obliged to give any reason or enter into any correspondence with any person on any matter with regards to the Contest
      • The Organiser shall not be liable for any other consequences or any unforeseen circumstances which may arise from and/or in connection with the Contest and/or redemption or use of any prize.
      • All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entertained. The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to use the nicknames, names, photographs, voice or video recordings and entries of the Contest participant and/or representatives without first obtaining any consent nor make any payment whatsoever to the Contest Winner and/or representative for its publicity, advertising, trade or promotion purposes in any media
      • The Organiser, at any time reserves the right to amend the Contest Rules or Terms and Conditions without any prior notice
      • All personal data received will be processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
